Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Menty app. By using Menty, you agree to these terms. Menty is operated from the Netherlands and these terms are governed by Dutch law.

Menty is a mental wellness companion app that helps you track your mood, set goals, and engage in supportive conversations with an AI companion. The service is designed to support your personal wellness journey.

To use Menty, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate account information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Interfere with the app's operation
• Use the app to harm yourself or others
• Misrepresent your identity

Menty offers optional subscription plans:

• Subscriptions are billed through the App Store
• Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
• You can cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings
• Refunds are handled according to App Store policies and applicable consumer protection laws

You retain ownership of the content you create in the app (journal entries, goals, etc.). You grant us a license to use this content solely to provide and improve the service for you. See our Privacy Policy for details on data processing.

The Menty app, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the app.

To the extent permitted by law, Menty is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch or EU law.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have statutory rights under EU consumer protection law that cannot be waived. These terms do not affect those rights.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. For disputes, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Courts in the Netherlands have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
