Menty is operated from the Netherlands. For questions about this privacy policy or your personal data, contact us at support@getmenty.app.

We collect and process the following personal data:

• Account data: Name and email address (for authentication)
• Wellness data: Mood ratings, energy levels, daily reflections
• Goals and progress: Personal goals, milestones, life situations
• Conversations: Messages with the AI companion
• Technical data: Device type, app version, crash logs

We process your data based on:

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): To provide the Menty service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): To improve our service and prevent abuse
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): For optional features like push notifications

• Provide and personalize the AI companion experience
• Track your wellness journey and generate insights
• Send check-in reminders (if enabled)
• Improve and maintain the service
• Respond to support requests

We share data with:

• RevenueCat (USA): Subscription management - processes purchase data
• Cloud providers (EU/USA): Secure data hosting
• AI providers: To power companion conversations (data is not used to train models)

For transfers outside the EU/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Under EU law, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data (Art. 15)
• Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17)
• Restrict processing (Art. 18)
• Data portability - receive your data in a structured format (Art. 20)

To exercise these rights, email support@getmenty.app. You can delete your account directly in the app settings.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments.

Menty is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

The Menty app does not use cookies. We do not track you for advertising purposes. We do not sell your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email.

If you believe we have violated your privacy rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
